Parish council work is important, but it can also be quite taxing. For some, dealing with numbers, personnel matters, and administration is the most exciting form of volunteer work, while for others, it can be dreadfully tiring. One can completely lose heart when running for the parish council with the expectation of focusing on creating life and favorable conditions for the gospel, only to find that the administrative tasks dominate the agenda. The parish council election is approaching, so how do we retain and recruit the right people for the work in the church?
In the workshop, we will explore various options and tools for maintaining focus on the life and growth of the church. The workshop is aimed at both current parish council members and those who may be considering running for a parish council, or have an interest in the Church’s work.
